Last Updated on by
Hello again, Had an issue with WordPress today that I did not expect. First, some terms. What is Quirks Mode? Well, it is a mode WordPress operates when code ends up above the <!DOCTYPE html> tag or there is PHP errors. To determine this view the source of the WP while editing a post. Also, see my post on great WordPress plugins!
So, here is the WordPress bug I found related to this strange event. Therefore, refer to that article for further helpful advice and technical understanding of the problem. Also, here and here is some more info on “Quirks Mode”
What fixed my “Quirks Mode” condition
My fix, remove form-maker plugin as it has script that is appearing above the <!DOCTYPE html> tag when I view source. Please note, I will be submitting a bug to the form-maker as soon as I am done with this post. Then, I will update this post with the bug report info. Finally, I will update this post once it is fixed.
HowTo: View source
First, Right click anywhere in the editor window.
Next, Look to see what is above the <!DOCTYPE html> tag. See below, sorry for the bad writing in the image but just wanted to highlight how we got here.
